TOEIC

TOEIC is a multiple-choice test designed to measure language proficiency levels for people whose native language is not English.
TOEIC is recognized by businesses and organizations around the world, by Greek and foreign universities, and by ASEP.
The TOEIC tests the ability to understand the English language in everyday use and also to understand written language.
The exam lasts 2:30 hours, and includes:

TOEIC Exam
For those who wish to certify their knowledge of the English language easily and quickly, the TOEIC English certificate is recommended. The TOEIC tests only reading and listening comprehension through a single multiple-choice exam,
which certifies the candidate’s language proficiency level according to their score. TOEIC exams are offered throughout the year, and the results are available within one week.
TOEIC exams are held in Athens and Thessaloniki, once a week.
In Athens and Thessaloniki, candidates can register through the AXON centers or submit the application in person at the offices of the Hellenic American Union.
Scores are given separately for each of the two sections of the test from 5 to 495. The total score is the sum of the scores of the two sections from 10 – 990.
The A.S.E.P recognizes and scores the TOEIC at the following levels:
- Excellent knowledge (proficiency): 905-990.
- Very good knowledge (advanced): 785-900.
- Good knowledge (lower): 505-780.
- Moderate knowledge (basic): 405-500.
Results are available within 5 days of the exam date. Certificates are available the day after the results are announced.
Each examinee is allowed to take the exam only once every 30 days.
The cost of the examination is 150 euros.
Reading Comprehension
Incomplete Sentences: One word or phrase is missing from each sentence. You must choose one of the four answers that completes the sentence.
Text Completion: You will read a text. A word or phrase is missing from a sentence. You must choose the answer that completes the sentence.
Reading: You will read a collection of texts such as newspaper and magazine articles, letters or advertisements. Each text is followed by some questions. You must choose the best answer for each question.
Listening Comprehension
- Photographs: For each question you will hear 4 statements about the image you see. You should choose the answer that best describes what you see.
- Question-Response: You will hear a question or a statement and three answers. You must choose the best answer to the question or statement.
- Conversations: You will listen to a conversation between two people. You will be asked to choose the best answer to three questions about the content of each conversation.
- Talks: You will listen to a conversation from one speaker. You will be asked to choose the best answer to three questions about the content of the conversation.
