At these ages, experiential learning focuses on oral communication. Through specially designed role-play activities, books, songs, and a variety of audiovisual materials, children have many opportunities to hear the language and use it through simple phrases and appropriate dialogues.

Activities such as drawing, singing, dancing, or dramatization enhance memory and participation.

Images, videos, flashcards, interactive exercises, and educational apps keep children engaged and motivated.

The teacher speaks Turkish in the classroom in a simple and understandable way. This allows children to connect words with concepts rather than translations, helping them start to “think” in Turkish.

Between the ages of 9 and 12, children have already developed better concentration, memory, and thinking skills, so foreign language teaching can be more organized, while still remaining interesting and creative.

Although children at this age can work more systematically, play and creativity remain essential tools. Educational games, group activities, and “language missions” keep their interest alive.

Children speak and write about things that matter to them (friends, hobbies, school, and travel). Kids aged 9–12 love the internet, videos, and interactive games.

The use of educational apps, songs, videos, and online exercises makes learning more engaging and modern.

At this stage, reading and writing skills are reinforced, while oral expression and listening comprehension continue to improve. Group work and projects foster collaboration, responsibility, and communication—elements that naturally enhance language development. At this age, children need goals and positive reinforcement. Encouragement, a sense of progress, and connecting the language to the “real world” help them stay enthusiastic and actively engaged.

At the ages of 13–15, children are in a phase of cognitive maturation, so foreign language teaching can be more targeted, demanding, and exam-oriented, without losing interest or creativity.

Exam preparation requires systematic study and a clear plan. Students need guidance to organize their time, understand language proficiency levels, and learn to set realistic goals.

Teaching is reinforced with grammar, vocabulary, and expressive tools through communicative activities (discussions, debates, articles, projects) so that knowledge is meaningful, not mechanical. Students practice equally in listening comprehension, reading, writing, and speaking, as required by exams (B2, C1, etc.). Practice uses authentic materials such as articles, podcasts, videos, and real exam topics. Activities like presentations, discussions, and role-playing help develop fluency and confidence.

Technology (interactive platforms, online tests, vocabulary apps) makes practice more focused and tailored to each student’s needs, allowing them to work on areas where they need extra support.
